This beautiful Tschokwe cup carrier is representative of a very important symbol of African Art: motherhood. The child is carved on the central part of the statue, protected by the Tschokwe woman. The arms and the faces of the two characters are good examples of the great Tschokwe sculptures and reflect the talent of the sculptors of this ethnic group.
This art of royal court is one of the most researched and rare Arfrican artifacts.
